Conversations is a series of talks and panel discussion on topics regarding the social enterprise sector, social impact, and doing good in Singapore. We hope to spread awareness about social enterprises and social issues in Singapore, as well as engage members of the public in meaningful discussions about how we can make Singapore a better place for all.

Innovation is the buzzword of the digital age. However, what is the relevance of innovation for social enterprises? Can social enterprises innovate for scale and impact? How have social enterprises been leveraging innovation to address social needs or increase efficiency?
Who Will Be Speaking?
Darren Yong – BI & Strategic Projects Lead, Homage Co Pte Ltd
Homage combines curated caregivers with smart technology to redefine home care. Darren is part of the founding team and currently leads performance analytics and strategic growth initiatives that move the needle in improving Homage. Previously, Darren was a management consultant and a private equity analyst. His experience as an analyst with a firm that invested in social impact start-ups was pivotal to his interest in social enterprises and social mission-driven organisations. In Homage, he is motivated to create societal impact and value through touching the lives of families.
Gerald Tan – Managing Director, Timeliss
Timeliss is a technology company committed to make end-of-life matters easy to tackle and affordable. Gerald co-founded Timeliss and is a software engineer by training with work experience in MNCs and startups offering enterprise software solutions. He aims to change the way we plan and deal with loss and grief, an oft-neglected part of all our lives.
Jared Sia - Co-founder, Glow in the Dark
Glow in the Dark (GITD) is the first professional training & development company in Singapore which offers enrichment workshops and talks wholly conducted by PWDs. Jared co-founded GITD in 2016 upon learning that gaining employment as a Person with Disabilities (PWD) is extremely challenging. He is deeply passionate about using innovation & business for social good while generating profit.
Shaznee Shah – Co-founder, ADL Rehab Pte Ltd
ADL Rehab Pte Ltd is a transport provider serving beneficiaries of local welfare organisations. Shaznee is its co-founder and is in-charge of HR matters, finance and technology. Founded in 2016, the company has received commendation for youth social enterprise of the year 2017.
Bjorn Lee – Founder, MindFi.co
MindFi.co is a wellness startup which brings balance to our technology compulsions. Bjorn is currently a third-time founder with MindFi.co. Blending his technology career and 7-year meditation practice, he has taught and shared at startups, corporates and non-profits. Previously a product manager at Zendesk, he realized mindfulness is both a personal and social problem. Bjorn brings mindfulness off the cushion into the busy world and aims to help people find calm, energy, and purpose in work and life.
